Prime Video is bringing a new wave of K-drama charm this November with the launch of Nice to Not Meet You, a romantic comedy that cleverly blends humor, heart, and a behind-the-scenes peek at the entertainment industry.

Set to premiere on November 3, the series stars two powerhouse talents: Lee Jung Jae, the internationally acclaimed actor from Squid Game, The Acolyte, and Hunt, alongside Lim Ji-yeon, the versatile actress recognized for standout roles in The Glory, The Tale of Lady Ok, and Lies Hidden in My Garden. Episodes will roll out every Monday and Tuesday in more than 240 countries and territories, exclusively on Prime Video.

Playing the role of  Lim Hyeon-jun, a seasoned actor whose career has long been defined by one role: Kang Pil-gu, the charismatic lead of a wildly popular detective series now on its fifth season, is Lee Jung Jae. While the role has brought him fame and stability, Hyeon-jun finds himself increasingly trapped, longing to escape his typecast image and pursue the raw, emotional performances of melodramas that once inspired him to act. His desire for reinvention sets him on an unexpected path.

Enter Wi Jeong-sin, played by Lim Ji Yeon, a sharp, fearless journalist who has built her career on exposing truths in the political world. Decorated with awards and professional respect, Jeong-sin never imagined her trajectory would be derailed—until she’s suddenly reassigned to the entertainment desk, a beat she views as trivial compared to the gravity of politics. Frustrated and out of place, she begins navigating a world of glitz and gossip she never asked for. But fate has other plans, as her reluctant new assignment places her squarely in the orbit of Hyeon-jun—the very actor she least wants to cover.

What begins as a clash of perspectives gradually evolves into a story marked by humor, vulnerability, and undeniable chemistry. Hyeon-jun’s struggle to redefine his artistry resonates with Jeong-sin’s fight to reclaim her professional voice, making their connection not just romantic but also deeply human. Their journey explores questions of identity, reinvention, and the delicate balance between authenticity and perception in industries often obsessed with image.

Behind the camera, Nice to Not Meet You reunites a seasoned creative team. Directed by Kim Ga-ram (Good Partner, Nevertheless) and written by Jung Yeo-rang (Doctor Cha), the series promises a refreshing combination of sharp dialogue, laugh-out-loud moments, and heartfelt storytelling. With its witty satire of both show business and journalism, it offers not only romance but also a layered look at ambition, resilience, and second chances.

With Lee Jung-jae taking on his first rom-com role in years following his massive international success, and Lim Ji-yeon continuing her impressive streak of diverse and compelling performances, Nice to Not Meet You is poised to captivate global audiences.

Mark your calendars: starting November 3, viewers can look forward to heart-fluttering moments, comedic sparks, and a charmingly modern take on love and self-discovery in Nice to Not Meet You streaming only on Prime Video.
