SBS has officially confirmed that Ahn Bo Hyun and Jung Eun Chae will headline the highly anticipated Season 2 of Flex X Cop, one of SBS’s most dependable, fan-favorite seasonal franchises.
On December 3, SBS announced the drama’s return in 2026, revealing that director Kim Jae-hong and writer Kim Ba-da, the creative duo behind the hit first season, are reuniting to expand the series’ signature “FLEX investigation” universe. The comeback of the leading actors guarantees another round of stylish action, chaotic charm, and adrenaline-pumping episodes.
A Bigger, Bolder Second Season
Produced by Studio S, Big Ocean E&M, and BA Entertainment, Flex X Cop 2 continues its story of a third-generation chaebol who solves violent crimes using an outrageous mix of money, influence, and sheer audacity.
Season 1 built a dedicated fandom thanks to its zany characters, righteous revenge arcs, and refreshing humor—standing tall beside SBS’s hit “cider universe” titles like Taxi Driver, The Fiery Priest, and One Dollar Lawyer. With SBS’s seasonal dramas currently sweeping ratings, excitement is sky-high for this newest entry on the runway.
What’s New in Season 2?
Jin Yi-soo (Ahn Bo-hyun) returns to Violent Crimes Unit 1 after official training at the police academy—ready to dive back into crime-busting. But he’s in for a surprise: his former tormentor, the infamous “devil instructor,” becomes his new boss.
Enter Jung Eun Chae as Joo Hye-ra, the National Police Agency’s former counter-terrorism ace. Volunteering as team leader, she steps into Kang Ha-seo’s former position and directly supervises Jin Yi-soo—setting the stage for a fiery, unpredictable partnership.
Their past dynamic as instructor vs. struggling trainee now flips into detective vs. commanding officer, promising delicious tension, mystery, and humor.
Returning Charm, New Synergy
Ahn Bo Hyun reprises Jin Yi-soo with all his beloved quirks—flashy “bling-bling” fashion, his comic-book-esque tanghulu hair, and that lovable mix of genius, chaos, and privilege. Fans are already speculating what outrageous detective looks he’ll bring to Season 2.
Jung Eun Chae, established as one of Korea’s most versatile actresses through projects like The Guest, Pachinko, Anna, and Jeongnyeoni, adds gravitas and intrigue as the sharp, enigmatic Joo Hye-ra. Their chemistry—born from rivalry, rebuilt through teamwork—will be a core highlight of the season.
The team behind Chaebol X Detective shared:
“We’re working hard to deliver an even more thrilling, entertaining Season 2 to repay the love for Season 1. Please look forward to the explosive energy Jin Yi-soo and Violent Crimes Unit 1 will bring.”
Flex X Cop 2 is slated to air in 2026—bringing back the slick chaos, lavish investigations, and unconventional detective work fans can’t get enough of. Stay tuned for more FLEX-fueled action!
