Netflix has gifted fans with a travel variety show with Asian stars Jasper Liu and Lee Seung Gi in Twogether.
The show has been on the top 10 Netflix video ranking in the world a week after its release. Twogether aims for the two Asian actors to meet and visit their fans in various countries. Becoming friends, planning a special trip and breaking the language barrier are key events highlighted in the show.
As one-half of the spectacular tandem featured in Twogether, Taiwanese actor Jasper Liu recently spilled stories about his experiences working with Twogether. Expressing gratefulness for the love the show received, he also voiced out appreciation to Korean fans who have been sending her messages on social media.
Jasper Liu is one of Taiwan’s representative actors. His most recent and notable works include More Than Blue, Triad Princess and Before We Get Married.
He has also guested in well-loved entertainment show, The Return of Superman, in 2018 meeting Ko Ji Young and adorable Seung Jae.
Further relaying his love for Korea, the actor confessed his love for kimchi. “I think Koreans have good skin because of healthy eating habits and kimchi. So, when I go on a trip to Korea, I always buy kimchi.”
For his latest project, Jasper Liu commends Lee Seung Gi for going extra mile for the language and culture barrier. He said, “I communicated a lot in English, Chinese and Korean, especially body language. The closer we became, the more we could communicate easily.”
He is thankful for the guidance of Lee Seung Gi, a known Korean variety show veteran. “Lee Seung-gi is my entertainment show master. He showed me how to have faith and be brave. I was also ashamed to talk to the locals, but he showed me how he communicated with an open mind. His sense of gaining affinity is really good. I thought I should learn that.”
Further listing down his co-stars amazing qualities, Jasper described Lee Seung Gi as attractive, charming, optimistic and compassionate. “I really want to ask Lee Seung Gi. What is it that you can’t do?,” he said.
Challenging his first variety program, Jasper admitted that it was not easy. “It was not an easy challenge because I didn’t know what to do each time. I knew it only when I get the mission. It was really reality.”
Gaining memories by meeting his fans, Jasper promises to do the show again if he will be given a chance. Through Twogether, Jasper Liu’s love for Korea gets deeper. “I’d definitely like to participate in season 2 of Twogether. Before that, I would like to study Korean hard and communicate smoothly with Lee Seung Gi and staff members.”
