Crush Quick Plot Recap *Spoilers Alert
With music being her companion, Wu-Yan (Wan Peng) aspires to become a broadcaster someday. Even though she studies Psychology, her love for music leads her to this dream.
Wu-Yan idolizes a songwriter with the name “Yi-Jin.” She fell in love with the way the writer composes lyrics for a song.
While listening to music, her eye caught the handsome face of a man sitting beside her. Just like teenagers do, she describes the beautiful man to her best friend Cheng-Yin (Me Yei Chen.)
Later on, all graduating students need to do their internships. Wu-Yan got her interest in a SPED school and work there for her internship.
At that school, she saw again the man who has a handsome face and got his name. Wu-Yan discovers that Su Nian-Qin (Evan Lin) turns out to be blind. However, this doesn’t stop her from pursuing him.
Wu-Yan makes efforts so that Nian-Qin would notice her, but his rude and serious personality makes things harder. With Wu-Yan’s brave character, she confesses to Nian-Qin about her feelings.
Wu-Yan also unveils that her idol “Yi-Jin” turns out to be Nian-Qin. Added to this Nian-Qin also realizes that he also fell in love with Wu-Yan. After this, they started to date.
The mother of Wu-Yan finds out her daughter is dating a blind man and opposes their relationship. Added to the dilemma, is the death of Wu-yan’s father that makes her go separate ways from Nian-Qin.
After three years, Nian-Qin underwent an eye operation which makes him see again. With fate at their side, they met again. This time, Nian-Qin courts Wu-Yan again.
Wu-Yan is now a broadcaster, while Nian-Qin becomes the CEO of their family’s business.
The walls that Wu-Yan built came crashing down. She realizes that after all this time, she still loves Nian-Qin.
Ending their story, Nian-Qin proposes to Wu-Yan, and they marry each other. After a while, they even had a sweet daughter.
Crush‘s Peak Points
Pursuing Things That Would Make You Happy
In the drama, Wu-Yan, together with her friends, struggled with the things that they really want in life.
Xu-Qian and Wei-Hao are the two close friends of Wu-Yan. They both belong to the band “Momo.” However, a moment came when they both needed to decide which path to take.
Xi-Qian needs to work because she needs money. She even leaves their band, but Wei-Hao asks her to stay. Later on, they realized they can still perform even though they have work.
True Love Waits
The drama proves that true love can wait. Wu-yan and Nian-Qin got separated for three years. In those years, they hadn’t fallen in love with other people.
The couple became an example that love is sweeter than the second time around. Aside from waiting, their love for each other is so genuine that it passes through their obstacles.
This time, the mother of Wu-Yan realizes that nothing else matters. The most important thing is that Wu-Yan loves the man.
When Nian-Qin and Wu-Yan waited for that perfect timing, their love story turns out swiftly with the support of their families and friends.
On the other hand, Wei-Hao and Xu-Qian also find their selves falling with each other. In the drama, they got married even though their relationship started tough.
Crush Series Musings
If you crave a light-hearted drama, you may want to consider watching Crush.
It’s not hard to oversee where the story would turn to, but the learning lies ahead while you watch the drama.
Wu-Yan’s feelings for Nian-Qin become so genuine that she doesn’t have the time to doubt because of Nian-Qin’s disability.
She also pursued Nian-Qin and raise the flag of women that nowadays we can also freely express our feelings to the people we like.
Wu-Yan also shows her love to her family, even though her mother opposes their relationship. I am glad that later on, her mother realizes that Wu-yan is happy with Nian-Qin.
The drama gracefully mixed its plot and sends an important life message to the viewers that there are still people who look at the heart than one’s flaw.
Crush ended happily, Nian-Qin and Wu-Yan were able to build their own families. One scene that leaves me warm-hearted is when Nian-Qin asks Wu-Yan, what if their baby is born blind too.
Wu-Yan assures him that if ever that happens, there’s nothing to worry about because they would take care of their baby no matter what happens.
Overall, I love how the characters developed and leave the past version of themselves. They all moved forward in life with lessons that they can keep for a long time.
