Intense Love Quick Plot Recap
Opening the drama, it shows a scene where two families are gathered for a meal. The event is supposedly for the arranged engagement of Su Jin-Bei (Zhang Yu Xi) and Dr. Zhou Shi Yun (Ryan Ding). However, the two don’t even care about this.
Jin-Bei is a popular actress and has lots of fans. She is so beautiful and sometimes she needs to run just to get away from her fans. One night, when she was driving, she was caught in an accident, causing him in having head surgery.
Dozing off, Jin-Bei saw the eyes of her attending physician and instantly got attracted to him. After her surgery, she kept blabbing about his doctor. She got the name of his physician which is Dr. Zhou Shi Yun.
Later on, she realized that the man who was arranged to marry her is Dr. Zhou. However, his personality is quite cold and serious. Many women fall for him, but he doesn’t even bat an eye.
Dr. Zhou also realized that Jin-Bei is the girl that his older brother wanted him to marry, but he doesn’t care. Jin-Bei started her journey to seduce Dr. Zhou and does all sorts of things just to catch his attention.
Jin-Bei’s feelings deepen, and she catches herself falling in love with him. Meanwhile, Dr. Zhou can’t ignore Jin-Bei because of the marriage. As they continued to spend time together, their feelings met halfway and formed love.

Stress-Free Drama
I can say that Intense Love is a drama you need to watch if you don’t like heavy dramas. It has a simple plot yet it would make your hearts flutter.
Jin-Bei’s acting isn’t cringy, and you can see that she really wants to get the attention of Dr. Zhou. There are problems in the drama, but it is bearable and you won’t cry about it, not like One and Only.
Since Jin-Bei is a popular actress, she faced several dilemmas about her career but is resolved later on. She also had a misunderstanding with Dr.Zhou, when he received a record where she was texting Wu-Di about seducing him, but Dr. Zhou’s feelings for her didn’t fade.
Women Can Also Do the First Move
Another thing that I like in the drama is that Jin-Bei didn’t hesitate in making Dr.Zhou like her. Even though she’s beautiful and popular, she took time in making efforts for Dr. Zhou.
In the reality of life, women are afraid to confess or make a first move to the man that they like. However, in the 21st century, just like Jin-Bei, we all have the right to tell our feelings to the people we care about.
When Jin-Bei and Dr. Zhou started to date they fought for their love and ended in their destined path — marriage. This time, their arranged marriage came to life, because their love became real and it doesn’t need to be called “arranged” anymore, because they volunteered to be together and cherish each other throughout their lives.
Intense Love Series Musings
Intense Love is my second Ryan Ding drama because I met him in Moonlight. As expected, he did well again in the drama and I sense his chemistry with Zhang Yu Zi.
Truthfully, there’s nothing special in the drama’s plot because there are lots of dramas that talk about arranged marriage but in the end, fall in love with each other.
Maybe what I like in the drama is the natural acting of the female lead, because it entertained me how far she’ll go just to get Dr. Zhou. This drama just let me enjoy without the need to shed a tear.
I also enjoyed the side story of Wu-Di and Yuan-Song. Even though they don’t like each other at first and had a one-night stand, they eventually get attached to each other.
Overall, I like the simple yet entertaining vibes that Intense Love gave me. So if you’re looking for a drama that you just want to enjoy, consider Intense Love because it would satisfy your expectation.
