In the world of fashion designing, many people crave elegant dresses and designs to partner with their fashion lines. This includes Yin Si-Chen, a founder and CEO of Why Mall, one of the bourgeoning fashion retailers.
Si-Chen is a cold yet very handsome man who focuses his attention on his business. One day his attention was caught by an exclusive wedding dress by “One of Alex” lines named “Marry Me.” Mistakenly, he sourced Xi-Xi online store.
The store is run by Gu Xi-Xi, a rookie fashion designer who aspires to build her fashion line someday. The 24-year-old woman is independent and idolizes a writer named Nian-Xi.
Later on, Xi-Xi met Si-Chen, and they both eye the same dress. Their desperate ways to get the dress lead to a fake marriage contract to gain the trust of Alex.
In many twists and turns, while pretending, they fell in love with each other even though Xi-Wei badly wants them to be apart. However, in the end, Si-Chen and Xi-Xi got married and kissed under the limelight.

Admirable Chemistry
Honestly, Once We Get Married has a recycled plot because there are too many dramas revolving around fake marriages. However, what saved this drama is the lovable chemistry of Xi-Xi and Si-Chen.
The actors did a great job in dressing up these characters and you’ll be going to enjoy their adventures from hating to loving each other. It also looks cute when Xi-Xi was the one to propose first to Si-Chen.
Even though Si-Chen already has a ring in his pocket, Xi-Xi went first and ask him if he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Yu Wen and Zi-Qi’s acting are not cringey at all. Rest assured that even if the plot is not surprising at all, the lead stars are going to make your hearts flutter.
No Break-Ups!
While many couples on dramas went through heartbreaks and break-ups, our lead actors in Once We Get Married didn’t plan to end their relationship. Xi-Xi and Si-Chen remained together during tough times.
The childhood friend of Xi-Xi named Zi-Xin came back and little did she know that this friend is also the author that she admires. Zi-Xin confesses his feelings for Xi-Xi but she turned him down because she loves Si-Chen.
On the other hand, Xi-Wei is Si-Chen’s childhood friend and she has feelings for him. When her jealousy ate her, she’s the one who exposed the fake marriage of the two.
When Alex heard about the fake marriage, Xi-Xi talked to him genuinely and tells that they are very in love now. Even though there are many hardships, the two didn’t break up and remain strong until the end.
Once We Get Married Series Musings
As I was just finished reviewing Wisher, I think Once We Get Married lightened up everything with its bubbly plot and characters. If you love fake marriages turned into a real one, then you should add this drama to your list.
There’s really nothing new with the drama’s plot but if you just want to enjoy and watch a drama with no killings and heavy scenes, you might want to witness Xi-Xi’s and Si-Chen’s love story.
On the other hand, I think the production can still improve the quality of the drama so that many audiences would be drawn to it. Nevertheless, the story’s merit can be attributed to how the love pairing confronts the problems so well together, never considering going apart, but working on it as one.
Once We Get Married is one of those dramas that would suit a cup of coffee and a good snack while enjoying the cold breeze of holidays.
