Our Secrets 1st Half Story
Moving to a new city, Ding Xian (Rainbow Xu) goals for a bright future ahead with new friends and experiences.
Her parents are acquainted with the family of her classmate Zhou Siyue (Chen Zhe Yuan). It appears their parents have also hope for them to be together in the future.
Xianxian’s New School, New Friends and Newfound Young Love
Coming as a top student from the satellite school of the main campus, she confronts the reality of the gap of her knowledge to her classmates. But it did not deter her to persevere.
She also made an effort to warm up with her classmates and has become tacitly connected with Siyue’s clique. Along the way, she reconnects with an older friend from her old hometown who is obviously fond of her.
Her challenges continue with her studies as she struggles with her lessons. Thankfully, Siyue willingly became her tutor despite him equally being busy with his extra-curricular activities.
As the two spend time with each other as classmates and even on school breaks, mutual fondness sprang.
Both have subconsciously cared for each other especially Siyue who has been doing things he doesn’t usually do. While the two have yet to label their special friendship, they become each other’s confidantes.

From the heartbreaking opening scene of the lead pair to tracing how their connection progressed in their Senior High School years, Our Secret locks attention with its nostalgic and adorable storytelling.
The more we see Siyue and Xianxian develop friendship and puppy love, the more we want to know the reason behind the opening scene.
Albeit designed to cater to young people, young at hearts can indulge as well because of its relatable vibe.
Following the Chinese youth romance drama prototype, expect feel-good moments and predictable love narrative bound to happen from the featured love pairing.
That being said the friendship stories are also seasoned quite engrossingly.
Notably, the captured apprehension of Ding Xian about being uncertain of what dream she wants to aspire presented a realistic nudge. Because sadly, there are adults who have reached their middle age, and yet to find their life’s purpose.
At the same time, Siyue’s perspective seems to be in a trajectory where his life which he has long set accordingly might face an unexpected setback.
