Unforgettable Love Quick Plot Recap *Spoiler Alert
From a fake marriage, true love sprang between Qin Yi Yue (Hu Yi Xian) and He Qiao Yan (Miles Wei) when the latter’s nephew/ adopted son Xiao Bao (Lennon Sun) refuses to negotiate with his wish of claiming Yi Yue to become his mom.
As a child psychologist, Yi Yue has a comprehensive grasp of Xiao Bao’s condition. Because of an accident that killed his parents, Xiao Bao has refused to talk and has secluded himself from his own world.
Eventually, Yi Yue enters a contract pretending to be married to Qiao Yan. Little by little, she has also brought out Xiao Bao to his comfort zone. Sharing trivial and important moments together, the feigned romance starts to become real.

Albeit easy-to-foretell, the sugary scenes that propel the romance buildup would still put a smile on your face. However, the familiar tune makes the series fit for one-time watch only.

Contract marriage is a reliable romantic story plot when done convincingly. In the case of Unforgettable Love, it followed the same decisive card and even threw in a reasonable pitch on love entanglement. Qiao Yan and Yi Yue have contrasting marriage and romance outlooks but were forced to be together because of their mutual adoration to Xiao Bao.
Their story proves how adjustment and acceptance remain to be essential factors when entrusting your life to a person in a relationship. They wholeheartedly try to complement each other’s stance individually to have a harmonious love affair.

Celebrate the good times and overlook the cliches. That’s the apt advice I can give after watching this series. I had a fair share of reading Chinese romance novels and watching corresponding drama adaptations. Thus, nothing much surprised me at all in the plot trajectory.
The secondary love story of Wen Gu (Jerry Yu) and Yang Ruo Wei (Sheng Hui Zi) is equally ambrosial. It is an efficient diversion to the dry one-sided love stories also presented in the narrative.
In the waning episodes, the blitz of problems was technically designed to solidify the romance fulfillment and unravel the disheartening truth about the tragic accident that left deep scars on the main leads. Unfortunately, it felt misaligned causing inconsistency to the love pairings’ character developments.
Thankfully, the quick lapse was salvaged by the spirited happy closure which showed Yi Yue and Qiao Yan acknowledging and letting go of their grievances. They cap it off with conquering their personal battles and aspirations.
Unforgettable Love can be watched on a spree or intermittently. Regardless, its amusing vibe would reel you in to stay till the end.
