On June 29, Korean actor Lee Jun Hyuk finally met his Filipino fans face-to-face in his first-ever fan meeting titled Let Me In, held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Manila. Presented by Wilbros Live, the event marked the actor’s second visit to the Philippines following his appearance at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards in Bulacan—but this time, it was all for the fans.
The show opened with music playing softly in the background, gradually building excitement inside the packed venue. The moment Lee Jun Hyuk stepped on stage, he was greeted with deafening cheers, waves of applause, and even a spontaneous standing ovation. Beaming as he looked out at the crowd, he warmly said, “Looking at you guys is the best feeling.”
WELCOME TO MANILA
The first segment, “Welcome to Manila,” was a sit-down interview that gave fans a glimpse into Lee Jun Hyuk’s recent experiences and personal interests. One of the crowd’s favorite moments was when he talked about trying halo-halo for the first time—a Filipino dessert staple. Holding it up, he playfully asked, “Can I finish this here?” prompting laughter and cheers from the audience.
Jun Hyuk also shared that he would love to watch a movie with fans if ever given the chance. When asked about his hobbies, he revealed he’s currently into boxing and often watches training videos of Manny Pacquiao and Ma Dong-seok. “If there’s a chance to get hit by Manny Pacquiao, it would be so cool,” he joked, drawing more laughter and loud reactions from the crowd.
Another highlight came when he talked about his self-written book Hello Popcorn, which tells the story of his beloved dog, Popcorn, who passed away a few years ago. As a surprise treat, he gifted a signed copy of the book to one lucky fan in the audience—adding a sentimental and personal touch to the night.

LET ME CHECK: <LOVE SCOUT>
In the next part of the fan meeting, the actor sat down with the host to talk about scenes from his most recent K-drama, Love Scout. Through selected stills and commentary, fans got deeper insight into his role as Yoo Eunho, a charming yet grounded character opposite Han Ji Min’s Kang Jiyoon. The host described him as a “unicorn” male lead—rare, ideal, and perfectly suited for the story’s tone.
Known for his professionalism, Jun Hyuk is often praised in the industry for being a “one-take” actor. He shared that he makes sure to come to set fully prepared, with his lines memorized and scenes studied in advance. “It’s important for me to be considerate of the staff and other actors, so I try to get it right the first time,” he said.
MY PERFECT LEE JUN HYUK
In one of the most anticipated parts of the fan meeting, four lucky raffle winners were invited on stage to re-enact romantic scenes from Love Scout with the actor. Each fan chose an item displayed on the screen, which corresponded to a particular scene they would act out. Laughter and squeals filled the theater as fans shared sweet—and slightly heart-racing—moments with Lee Jun Hyuk up close.

LET ME GAME
More fans were given the chance to interact with the actor during the game segment, where they played fun challenges like cup-shooting games using ping pong balls. In a heartwarming gesture, Jun Hyuk signed the ping pong balls and threw them into the audience, giving fans an unexpected souvenir to take home.
Winners of the games didn’t go home empty-handed either—they received special prizes such as signed Polaroids and even an umbrella personally handed out by the actor.

MESSAGE TO ANGEL
As the event drew to a close, the mood turned heartfelt. Before the show began, fans were invited to write messages on sticky notes and post them outside the venue. During the final segment, Lee Jun Hyuk read several of these handwritten messages on stage. Some fans were invited up for a hug or a quick photo with him as a gesture of appreciation.
One particularly touching message came from twin sisters from Thailand, who shared that they had flown in just to see him again. Touched by their story, Jun Hyuk personally acknowledged them onstage.
He ended the fan meeting by singing a song for the audience, and for those with benefit passes, the night continued with a hi-bye session and group photo opportunity, capping off an unforgettable evening.
From heartfelt confessions to sweet fan interactions, Let Me In was more than just a fan meeting—it was a night of gratitude, laughter, and warmth shared between Lee Jun Hyuk and his fans in Manila. And if the energy in the room was any indication, his return to the Philippines can’t come soon enough.
