At the post-event party, Sun-bin purposely drops her bracelet making Yoon Kyum look for her. When he found her, she was on a steamy engagement with her husband, who works in the company Yoon Kyum leads.

Creating coincidences Sun-bin smartly maneuvers the attraction she reels Yoon Kyum to believe. With the pressure from his father-in-law at work, the faint seduction is enlivening his vigor.

Lee La El

Unknown to him, Sun-bin has been targeting him to execute her vengeance plan. She is formerly Lee La El and she took a new identity for the sole purpose of shattering the people who hurt her the most.

Yoon-kyum is married to Han So-ra (Yoo Sun) whose father mercilessly instigated the downfall of their family’s business and father’s death.

After the tragic incident, her mother went missing. Lee La El was helped by Seo Eun-pyeong (Lee Sang Yeob) to start a new life overseas.

A few years later, she returns as Kim Sun-bin, a mother and wife of Yoon-kyum’s employee. Occasionally checking for clues about her mom’s disappearance, La El is also being traced by Eun-pyeong.

When he found her, he visits her at her workplace but she denies being Lee La El, introducing herself as Kim Sun-bin.

Eve Opening Week Musings

Enticingly appealing, Eve opens a lot of reasons why it should be watched by viewers. More than the seduction plan, the punitive spirit of Lee La El shines through.

No matter how shrewd or merciless she will play her cards moving forward, it’s easy to root for her intentions. Credit that to how the opening episodes clearly laid down the justification of why she has the free pass to exact her revenge.

La El’s new identity appears to have spurred meeting her adoptive mother who seems to harbor the same animosity to the same people who wronged her parents.

Confronting despicable enemies, it’s engrossing to anticipate how La El would fulfill her promise. At her very core, we know she has still some good in her since she remembered the help she received from Eun-pyeong by sending him money.

Eve

As Eun-pyeong appears to be still haunted by not being able to minimize the damage incurred by young Lee La El, we can expect him to be protecting her still, despite her refusal to reconnect.

Inevitably, Yoon-kyum’s stress will hit a detonating point as a glimpse of his infidelity and declaration of war against his father-in-law was captured in the first scenes of the series.

Likewise, not to be missed is how Han So-ra greedily fights for the man she loves against Lee La El.

Eve airs on tvN every Wednesday and Thursday. International fans can watch it on Viu!
