The First Responders Opening Week Story
Touted as “jindo dog” in the Regional Violence and Crimes Unit Jin Ho-gae (Kim Rae Won) ferociously catches criminals like a dog. However, his last target is a man of power and led to his being transferred to the suburb after refusing to show remorse in beating an alleged culprit of powerful background.
For his first assignment at his new team, he joins his old mentor’s team in a joint response operation to save an abducted woman. Fortunately, the woman was able to relay her situation to her mother. He meets the firefighter team’s Bong Do-jin (Son Ho Jun) and paramedic Song Seol (Gong Seung Yeon).
Trapped inside a room in an apartment complex, the victim communicates with the team who has to deduce her exact location. Adding to the gravity of the situation is the possibility of her losing consciousness because her stabbed leg is losing a lot of blood.
Going for the last resort, Ho-gae proposes what firefighters hate which is to cause a fire. Without many options and with time running out for the wounded victim, they execute the plan. Ultimately, they save the victim and capture the psychopath who has already killed six people.
