Whether you are a foodie or cooking is your hobby; if you also like K-Dramas trying out to cook or eat the Korean cuisine you saw is inevitable.
While there are a few food-themed Korean dramas that aired before, our focus today is Hansik also known as Korean cuisine.
Visit Korea refers to Hansik as traditional Korean food, centered on rice, served alongside a bowl of soup and a variety of side dishes. Most dishes use meat and vegetables as the main ingredients and are boiled or steamed in brine or water rather than fried in oil, making hansik very healthy.
More than anything else, hansik’s most outstanding feature is the number of fermented foods. It includes kimchi (fermented cabbage), ganjang (soy sauce), doenjang (soybean paste), and gochujang (Korean chili paste).
Below are Korean dramas that would help you explore Korean cuisine. TIP: You can also include Eccentric Chef Moon, Dae Jang Geum Is Watching and Late Night Restaurant as they also feature Hansik.
