Triple Threat star Lee Seung Gi was all business as he set the stage on fire with powerful renditions of his well-loved hit songs.
Lee sang his popular hits like “The Ordinary Man”, “The Dreamer’s Dream”, “Because You’re My Woman”, “Like A Flower” and “Delete”. According to the actor, “Delete” is the most requested song in his South Korean concerts. The actor definitely proved that he has more than his acting prowess to show his fans during his 2-hour concert.
Lee also included the song “Forbidden Love” by Kim Kyung-ho which he sang in an episode of the variety show Master in the House in 2020. He also let the audience hear for the first time the yet-to-be-released song “I Got to Know It That Way”. This song will be released in 2024.
Different Seasons in Lee Seung Gi’s Life
The theater walls were literally shaking as fans roared with delight when Lee first took the stage for the first time in the evening. Further exciting his fans, Lee charmed his fans further when he greeted them with a shy and sweet “Kamusta kayo? Namiss ko kayo.”, definitely sending more fans into a frenzy.
Lee’s first set consisted of mainly mellow ballads, but the handsome Hwayugi star mentioned that it was difficult for him to be somber while he sang because the energy of his fans was contagious. During one part of the concert, he even noticed the livelier playing of his band.
Lee couldn’t help but joke that during one song that was coming from a perspective of a broken-hearted man, Lee found it hard to stay in the mood of the song. This is because he could hear his fans screaming “Nomo nomo saranghae! (I love you very much)”.
Nevertheless, fans were wistfully recalling their own sweet memories as Lee continued his sweet serenade for his Filipino fans. The handsome balladeer even complimented his Manila audience as the best out of all countries he has visited on tour so far.
On a serious note, Lee explained that the first set of his concert depicted his experiences during the different seasons of his life during the past 19 years. He mentioned that he spent his 19-year career doing different activities and roles for his fans, and Lee was amazed that time has gone by so fast.
Promises of A Brighter Future With Lee Seung Gi
Lee mentioned that in 2024, he will be celebrating his 20th anniversary. A special album collaboration is in the works for the singer/actor to commemorate his milestone.
Lee promised special collaborations with popular and respected artists in the South Korean music industry. He further mentioned that it’s part of his dream to have a world tour, including Manila again of course.
Lee shared that this year has brought about a new change in both his personal life and his career. He also mentioned that the concert was his start in becoming more active as a singer. Lee is currently starring in several variety shows and is known to be a charming host as well.
He mentioned his new variety show Strong Heart League, which is a reboot of Strong Heart. Lee will be reuniting with Kang Ho Dong, with whom he shared excellent chemistry in the first season.
Losing My Mind for Lee Seung Gi
Setting a livelier mood for the second half of his concert, Lee got the audience dancing and even gave in to a second round of the popular My Girlfriend is a Gumiho song “Losing My Mind”. Fans of the popular drama went wild with delight as Lee indulged them twice with this popular song.
Manila fans were certainly spoiled by the talented singer as he effortlessly belted out high notes, and charmed the audience with his sweet words and promises of another concert very soon.
