Ahead of its premiere on June 12, Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) drops more teasers, indicating more shocking and tumultuous events that will soon ensue.
Chronicling the lives of three married couples in their 30s, 40s, and 50s, Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) portrays an array of marital problems as they experience love, marriage, and divorce.
The drama was written by the prominent makjang screenwriter Im Sung Han, who penned various hit series such as Miss Mermaid, Dear Heaven, and New Tales of Gisaeng.
The first season marked as her comeback work after six years since Apgujeong Midnight Sun.
A riveting story about betrayals and affairs
The first season was separated into two parts — the first half which shows the ultimate separation of the three central marriages and the second half which reveals the husbands’ adulterous affairs.
Comparing to the first season’s poster, which only featured the three couples, the new poster portrays the complete split of their marriage, as the husbands abandon their wives for their new love interests.
Lee Ga Ryung portrays Boo Hye Ryung, the wife in her 30s. In the poster, she gave her husband Pan Sa Hyun (Sung Hoon) a stern glare. While enjoying the wine with Song Won (Lee Min Young), he seemingly looks guilty as he avoids her wife’s piercing gaze.
Portraying Lee Si Eun, the woman in her 50s is actress Jeon Soo Ryun. Giving off an agonizing look as she sits alone in the middle of the day, her husband Park Hae Ryoon (Jeon No Min) is all smiles with Nam Ga Bin (Im Hye Young).
Lastly, Sa Pi Young (Park Joo Mi) is the wife in her 40s. She turns her back on her husband Shin Yu Shin (Lee Tae Gon) who is locked in an intimate embrace with Ah Mi (Song Ji In).
A more surprising twist of events
Returning to its new season with a more dramatic plot and unexpected turn of events, Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) stirs up the anticipations of viewers on how the three couples and three women’s catastrophic relationship will set forth.
The new teasers for the second season suggest more complicated relationships as the wives contrive their revenge plans.
The production team said, “The main poster shows the prelude that will be filled with madness after Pandora’s box of secrets has been opened. The conflict between the three wives in their 30s, 40s, and 50s, and their husbands will be more intense. Please show a lot of interest to Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) Season 2.”
Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) Season 2 will premiere on June 12 t 9 PM KST via TV Chosun.
