Ahead of the premiere on September 21, the lead stars and director of Love In Contract held a drama presentation online to share stories about what to expect in the series.
Portraying a fake wife of two men, Love In Contract tells the story of an employee of a helper service. Her job is to pretend as the wife of single men who need companions to join them in gatherings.
Playing the role of Choi Sang-eun the woman with an interesting job is Park Min Young. Sang-eun is your ideal woman with perfect looks, abilities and charms. She embodies a woman raised perfectly since birth. Thus, her peculiar career draws interest as to why she chose it.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; she has a long-term exclusive contract with Jung Ji-ho (Go Kyung Pyo). Then, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; she has a new contract with Kang Hae-jin (Kim Jae Young).
Set to solidify her presence as a rom-com goddess, Park Min Young adorably shared how there was a lot of stress in her last work as it was a workplace drama. Thankfully, Love In Contract let her laugh a lot and enjoy her unique role. She also resonated well with her character Sang-eun.
“There’s more gratitude than pressure to have the rom-com goddess as a title. I think it’s an honor to have that title as an actress. Rather than feeling burdened, I focused on how I can show a mature character that is appropriate to my age.”
Matching Park Min Young’s charming character, Go Kyung Pyo suits up as a mysterious character who has been in a contractual marriage relationship with Sang-eun for five years.
Without revealing his job, hobbies, or personality, he spends his monthly paycheck with her every week.
Returning to romantic comedy since Don’t Dare To Dream, Go Kyung Pyo mentioned how he wanted to play a character with a story that is likely to be possible in the present era.
“In this day and age, I thought it was an opportunity to tell this story. I’m happy to be a part of it. In Don’t Dare To Dream, I was a lot younger. I wonder if I can show a more mature appearance than I did then.”
Playing the role of another contract marriage partner is Kim Jae Young. He portrays Kang Hae-jin, a chaebol family’s youngest son and Hallyu star.
Grateful for his latest project, the actor shared knowing that Park Min Young will be the rom-com’s exciting point. He also acknowledged learning a lot from the rom-com goddess.
“I wish I could show you a lot of bright looks. I wish my usual tone or behavior was playful and would melt into the character and make it look natural to people.”
Taking turns, the actors warmly invite the viewers to watch Love In Contract on September 21.
