Gifting his Filipino fans with his presence, the idol and actor warmly answered questions from members of the Philippine press.
After over a decade, Ok Taecyeon returned to the Philippines. The last time he visited was with 2PM members. Satisfying the curiosity of the fans and media present at the event, he relayed his spontaneous thoughts and how he remembered Filipino fans.
OK TAECYEON To Gift Fan Service Like No Other At “SpecialTY in Manila”
“It’s been quite a while since I’ve been here—10 years. Coming back is amazing. The last time I was here, it was very hot. Our Filipino fans were so supportive, loud, and they were so energetic.”
As a member of 2nd-generation idol 2PM, the Hearbeat leading man also felt nostalgic remembering the past. He remarked how the group is as solid as they were 14 years ago.
“It felt like it was yesterday when we all debuted. We can always trust each other, help each other out, and support each other.” As a group, we share responsibility as a team. Responsibility-wise, it’s easier with a group rather than being a solo artist. It’s just you, you’re the only one who has to take care of your everyday business. That’s the only thing that sets it different.
Debuted as an actor in the 2010 KBS2 drama, Cinderella’s Stepsister, Ok Taecyeon further honed his craft by appearing in dramas, Dream High, Who Are You, Bring It On Ghost, Save Me, Vincenzo, Blind, and Heartbeat.
When asked if there was a specific character, he had portrayed in his previous works that best speaks about himself, TAECYEON said all his roles have a piece of his personality.
“I want to extend my spectrum as an actor. I would like to try out something that would show my physique. Like a boxer or swimmer.“
A man of conviction, Ok Taecyeon delivered a heartfelt appreciation to the fans who continuously support him.
“You guys are my motivation. Every time I go to work, perform, or appear on TV and movie, without you guys, it’s basically meaningless. So, thank you.”
Closing the media conference with his profound eloquence, Taecyeon conveyed how he wanted people to remember him.
“It’s that I made people happy, I guess. I just want to be a part of your life wherein I can be your strength or energy.”
Giving a peek at his future goal, he hopes for a new acting project in 2024 that could expand his acting spectrum. He also bid goodbye in Filipino language and wished his fans to be healthy and happy.
