Saying goodbye to their roles, The Law Cafe stars express their thoughts as the drama ends.
Directed by Lee Eun Jin, The Law Cafe depicts the romance between Kim Jung-ho (Lee Seung Gi) a former prosecutor, and passionate lawyer Kim Yu-ri (Lee Se Young), who has been his crush for 17 years.
Ranking first for 15 consecutive times, the KBS2TV Monday-Tuesday drama recently reached its conclusion. Cast members Lee Seung Gi, Lee Se Young, Kim Nam Hee, Kim Seul Gi, Oh Dong Min, An Dong Goo, Kim Do Hoon, Jang Hye Jin, and Baek Hyun Joo share their thoughts on its end while thanking viewers for the amount of love the drama received.
K-Drama Review: “The Law Cafe” Finds Warm Human Stories from Cold Legal Battles
Providing laughter and entertainment through his character Kim Jung-ho, actor Lee Seung Gi reminisces his fun experience filming the drama since its beginning.
“It was a happy and enjoyable filming with everyone I was with.”
Since it has been a while since the actor starred in a KBS drama, Lee Seung Gi gratefully values the love he received.
“It was an honor to be able to cruise because of your great love…”
Playing the love interest of Lee Seung Gi’s character, actress Lee Se Young expresses her sadness as the drama ends while holding a thankful heart to its viewers.
“It’s too bad that it’s already the last time…I want to say thank you so much to the viewers who have loved and watched it a lot.”
As the psychiatrist in the drama, actor Kim Nam Hee warmly wishes viewers to feel peace while watching the drama.
“I wanted to make a drama that can make you warm and laugh. I hope that you can forget the pain in life while watching our work for a while.”
Full of wit, the actor uses the drama’s title to close his farewell message to viewers.
“Even if love is difficult according to the law, I hope we can live loving each other.”
Short and direct with her feelings about the drama’s end, Kim Seul Gi who portrayed Han Se-yeon sincerely thanks both viewers and the drama’s staff.
“As always, I am proud, sad, and grateful. I sincerely thank the staff who worked with a warm heart.”
Likewise, actor Oh Dong Min who played Do Jin-gi, appreciates the time spent with the cast members of the drama and wishes them all a happy future after the drama’s end.
“It was a wonderful time to be able to participate in beautiful stories with beautiful people.”
Playing the cafe’s barista Seo Eun-gang, actor Ahn Dong Goo fondly recalls the first day of filming and conveys his gratitude as the drama reaches its finale.
“I filmed with good people and always smiled with a happy and comfortable heartily. I’m thankful for everyone and I think everyone worked hard on the shoot…I hope you are healthy and full of good things.”
Also working in the cafe as Joon, actor Kim Do Hoon heartily appreciates the drama’s filming and broadcast.
“The filming period of about six months and the two months of broadcasting were all meaningful and precious to me.”
Now saying goodbye to his character who had a lot of nicknames, the actor promises his fans another work they can enjoy him in.
“…I will greet you in a good work! Thank you to the viewers who loved me.”
Bringing laughter as one of the ladies from Happy Mart, actress Jang Hye Jin who played Kim Cheon-daek thanks viewers who enjoyed her comical bond with actress Baek Hyun Joo.
“The past few months, the actors and staff have worked really hard, and I also had a fun and happy time…I would like to thank the viewers for their love of Kim Cheon-daek and Ms. Choi’s comical chemistry…I will greet you in the next work. I hope you are always healthy.”
Despite the poor filming conditions, actress Baek Hyun Joo who portrayed Lady Choi recognizes the efforts of the whole team in producing a warm set.
“I thank the director, staff, and actors for their efforts to create a warm and pleasant scene even though the filming conditions were not good.”
In addition to that, although she had not met all the cast members in every episode, Baek Hyun Joo still thanked them and states she’ll miss the food they shared on the set.
“I hope the sweat we shed together at the scene was delivered well to the viewers…The drama is over, but I think I will miss the food and chatter I shared in front of Happy Mart,”
With much gratitude in their hearts, the production team of The Law Cafe appreciates the viewers who cried and laughed every Monday and Tuesday night ever since the drama’s first broadcast in September.
