WOODZ promises to return to Manila after witnessing Filo MOODZ’ passionate love and unending support!
Cho Seungyoun, a self-producing solo artist, widely known as WOODZ embarks on his journey to the Philippine concert stage in his recent 2023 WOODZ WORLD TOUR [OO-LI] IN MANILA. The much-anticipated solo concert event happened on June 17, 2023, at the New Frontier Theater.
Before the show started, Filo MOODZ gave a glimpse of their excitement as they sang along to “Journey” and “Pool” while waiting. They even lit up and waved their lightsticks to display their support for WOODZ.
As soon as the clock struck 6:00 PM, WOODZ came up onstage, adding fuel to the passionate cheers of fans by performing “Busted.” This was immediately followed by the breathtaking “Hijack” and “Love Me Harder.” Afterward, he introduced his band members who were also warmly welcomed by the fans.
Loud screams surrounded the venue as WOODZ took off his jacket for “Chaser.” Everyone went wild, and the energy seemed to have reached WOODZ as he sprinkled water on the fans, completely pumping up the night. He also constantly checked on fans if they are enjoying his stages, and even asked them how they thought of each song.
“I want this!” This was one of WOODZ’ words after witnessing Filipino fans’ unrivaled energy. He even requested that they can cheer for him as loud as they can until the end of the show. Filipino MOODZ did not let their beloved artist down as they sang along with him, even in the rap parts, while jumping into extreme happiness.
WOODZ Proves That He Is An All-Rounder
Filipino MOODZ loved how versatile WOODZ is as an artist. It was marvelous how he could flawlessly hit the high notes while dancing. His unique rap tone also added to his amazing image.
Aside from performing his tracks, he also did a short cover of “Hype Boy” by New Jeans. WOODZ also gifted his Filipino fans with a cover of Parokya Ni Edgar’s “Your Song.” He may have missed some of the lyrics, but the fans helped him through it and the sight was nothing short of adorable.
As WOODZ took a short break, he read the messages from his fans and granted some requests. This included a request if he can play the guitar. He then proceeded to take the guitar from his band member and played “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. He also sang a few lines from “Pool” and “Accident.” A lucky fan also had the best time of her life, when WOODZ took her phone and snapped a photo.
WOODZ also tested his fans’ vocal prowess, as he asked them to sing along to “Multiply.” The genius singer-songwriter was left in awe at how synchronized the fans were. He even remarked that they should switch positions; he should be in the crowd and Filipino MOODZ should be on stage.
WOODZ Thanks Filipino MOODZ
As an appreciation to the talented artist that he is, Filipino MOODZ organized a fan project for WOODZ. This included them singing along to “Thanks to” while WOODZ was backstage changing his outfit. The fans also waved blue handkerchiefs and even prepared a VCR featuring fans from different parts of the Philippines.
Wrapping up the show, WOODZ left 3 promises to fans. “Kalusugan. Kasiyahan. Mahalin mo sarili mo,” which translated to Health, Happiness, and Love yourself, making the crowd on the verge of tears.
All throughout the concert, the smile on his face never faded away. The loud crowd cheering for him will be truly engraved in his heart, and as he said, “I will come back here.”
