Some Filo MOODZ had the chance to see WOODZ for the media conference a day before he conquers the Manila stage!
The press conference for WOODz’ OO-LI World Tour in Manila happened on June 16, at 4 PM, at the Quantum Skyview, Gateway Mall 2. It was attended by lucky fans who won the raffle and the members of the media.
Concert organizer Pulp Live World prepared this special conference before the singer-songwriter takes the stage for his first solo concert in Manila. Prior to the media conference, a couple of WOODZ’ music videos played on the huge LED screen on the venue’s ceiling.
Kyungmin Kim hosted the press conference where WOODZ answered a few questions and invited fans to come to enjoy with him the night after.
WOODZ reminisced about his time in the Philippines, where he got the dream to become a singer. And now that he’s back, his dream has come true, making him feel happy.
He also told everyone about a core memory in school. Because he had lots of foreign friends, he was able to learn about many cultures.
The “Love Me Harder” singer then started to remember some Tagalog phrases he had learned and used in the Philippines. When WOODZ said every Tagalog line he knew, including “Salamat po,” “Kuya,” “Ate,” “Kaliwa,” “Kanan,” “Pogi ako,” and “Mahal kita,” the Filipino MOODZ in the crowd started cheering.
WOODZ also thought for a moment about the difference between him as a performer and in daily life. “WOODZ is a planner, while SEUNGYOUN is free and laid back.” He also said that he gives importance to self-reflection and spending alone time traveling.
When WOODZ was in Kuala Lumpur before, he learned a big lesson. “I got sick during the show in Kuala Lumpur. I realized that I needed to start taking better care of myself.”
In April 2023, OO-LI, WOODZ’s fifth mini-album, was released. He said that the album’s name comes from the Korean word “uri,” which means “us.” It’s a gift to his fans and a metaphor for how he wants to connect with them through music.
The genius musician also said that taking walks around his neighborhood gives him the ideas he needs to write new music. “When I see a tree in front of me, I don’t know. I’m not sure why, but it makes me feel something different. Seeing nature gives me more inspiration in writing music.”
At the end of the news meeting, WOODZ said that MOODZ meant everything to him. “If MOODZ were’t here, WOODZ won’t be here.” He told PH MOODZ how much he love and appreciate them, and he wished them good health always.
On the other hand, WOODZ will be at the New Frontier Theater in Manila on June 17 for his OO-LI World Tour to meet his Filipino MOODZ.
