Bae Hyun Sung and Kim Sae Ron will return with the 5th installment of popular web drama series Love Playlist. It is reported that the two will reprise their roles as college students Park Ha Neul and Seo Ji Min respectively.
It is also reported that the fifth season will be called Dear M: Love Playlist 2021 but that’s just a tentative title. It will be co-produced by drama production company Monster Union and Playlist, a video content production company.
Love Playlist rose to fame with their relatable and entertaining portrayal of college students’ campus life. Since the release of the first season in 2017, the four seasons have accumulated 500 million views, being the first web drama to receive such an amazing feat.
Bae Hyun Sung has been part of the drama since season 3 and since then, he has acted in dramas like What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Extraordinary You and Hospital Playlist. He also has a few films under his belt like The Divine Fury and an appearance in Crazy Romance.
Kim Sae Ron began as a child actress and has been getting widespread acclaim as she furthers her career in acting. She won awards for her roles in films like The Man from Nowhere and A Girl at My Door and in dramas like The Queen’s Classroom and Secret Healer.
Dear M: Love Playlist 2021 will be released online in Naver, KBS and in the Playlist Global YouTube and VLive channel in the first half of 2021.
