The Korea Tourism Organization appointed actor Lee Jae Wook as an honorary public relations ambassador for Korean tourism.
The appointment ceremony was held on December 20 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Various side events such as interviews with a number of local media outlets and fan meetings were held together, realizing his popularity as a global trending star.
Yoo Jin Ho, head of the tourism product department shares the robust plan for Korea tourism.
“After announcing the 2023-2024 Visit Korea Year, we plan to attract foreign tourists to visit Korea with Hallyu stars from various fields. Public Relations Ambassador Lee Jae Wook plays a big role in attracting K-Drama tourists to Korea.”
Debuted in 2018, Lee Jae Wook has continuously soaring as a bankable actor of his generation. He is known for his roles in Extraordinary You, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol and Search: WWW.
In particular, he is the lead star of the hit tvN series, Alchemy of Souls, which is immensely popular overseas.
In the future, the actor is set to become an honorary member of ‘K Friends’, a global hallyu fan community run by the organization, promoting Korean tourism.
Correspondingly, Lee Jae Wook is preparing to meet his Asian supporters at the 2023 Lee Jae Wook Asia Tour Fan Meeting “First” beginning in Seoul in January 2023.
