South Korea’s acclaimed producer Na Young Suk, known for hits like New Journey to the West, Jinny’s Kitchen, and Earth Arcade, is teaming up with Netflix to deliver a brand-new midwinter reality adventure, Take a Hike!.
The series follows four reluctant celebrities—hiking rookies with zero prior interest in trekking—who are challenged to navigate Korea’s snow-capped mountains for the very first time. With nothing but their own two feet, these stars face biting winds, steep climbs, and the unpredictability of winter terrain, turning their journey into a charming test of grit, teamwork, and humor.
The cast is a lively mix of Korea’s most in-demand personalities: Car, the garden, a singer with a distinctive voice and sharp wit from Better Late Than Single; Dowoon, the youngest drummer from Day6, whose bubbly charm is infectious; Lee Chae Min, a rising actor known globally for Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, and Cashero, making his unscripted debut; and Tarzzan of AllDay Project, whose energetic, quirky personality contrasts with his on-stage polish.
Together, their unpredictable chemistry drives the adventure, delivering moments of laughter, tension, and surprising heart. Produced by Na Young Suk, whose Midas touch has shaped some of South Korea’s most popular reality shows, and led by main producer Park Hyun-yong, the series promises inventive formats, big laughs, and genuine emotion.
