Welcome Back and Best Wishes to actor Sung Joon!
A lot really happened to Sung Joon in the period he committed to complete his military service. Discharged on July 27 this year, the actor has previously confirmed through his agency the news of him being married and becoming a father.
More than a month after leaving the boot camp, Sung Joon is all set to take his vows for his beloved wife. The wedding ceremony will be held on Sept 12. Previously, the actor and his wife already registered their marriage.
O& Entertainment, on August 12, confirmed the news through media outlets. The agency relayed that in consideration of the non-celebrity bride, the wedding will be held privately with close family and relatives of the couple.
Sung Joon enlisted privately in December 2018. In February this year, he carried out the remainder of his military service as a full time reserve. It was further revealed that Sung Joon married his wife before enlistment and marriage talks was also underway. Blessed with a bundle of joy, the actor decided to leave the active army duty to sign up in the reserve service.
Through a heartfelt letter, the actor confessed his real life love story. Admitting happiness for meeting the woman he loves, he shared that he had registered the marriage to protect his wife and child.
He said, “I was worried about my wife who would endure everything alone without me, so I applied for a transition to reserve service.”
He added, “I would be very happy if you could understand a little bit of my story. I wanted to do well as new husband and father.”
Praised for drawing addicting romance presence for his roles, Sung Joon looks forward to a new chapter of his life. His recent dramas include Madame Antoine, High Society and Discovery of Love.
