“Baeksang Arts Awards” Reveals TV Drama Nominees

On April 7th, the Baeksang Arts Awards team officially revealed the nominees for the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci, announcing selections across television, film, and theater via their website and social media channels.

This year, the competition reflects both fierce deliberation and evolving industry trends. The Baeksang Arts Awards celebrates its 61st anniversary this year. This award-giving body is the only comprehensive arts award in Korea, given to the production staff and performers of broadcast/film/theater programs that were aired, screened, or performed over the past year.

In line with shifting content consumption habits, the awards broadened their judging criteria—now covering not just the three major broadcasters, but also cable networks, OTT platforms, and web-based series. As part of this transformation, the “TV” category has been rebranded as “Broadcast” to better represent this expanded scope.

The always-intense Best Drama race features standout nominees: tvN’s Lovely Runner, JTBC’s The Tale of Lady Ok, MBC’s Doubt, and Netflix’s The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and When Life Gives You Tangerines.
