K-Drama industry is soaring high with recent successful feats. Pushing the popularity are K-Zombie-themed stories that easily settle as fan favorites.
Since the worldwide hit Kingdom where zombies roam in the unique setting of Korea’s Joseon Dynasty, more productions have charmed viewers.
From the traditional setting, Netflix takes the audience to a new K-Zombie treat. This time around, the imaginary world is set at an ordinary Korean high school.
Based on the Naver webtoon of the same title, All Of Us Are Dead by Joo Dong-geun makes a strong run to a riveting K-Zombie content for thrill junkies.
Inside the campus premise, a few surviving students conspire not by friendship but by mutual goals to survive.
Check out some reasons why All of Us Are Dead is the next big thing in k-zombie history!
Realistic Production Set Hyping The Ironic Twist of the Story
Talk about the irony of how the premise of All Of Us Are Dead deals with students’ survival inside the campus. When high schools are supposed to be one of the safest places, the series pitches a reality of how the school grounds become a living hell.
Ensuring to capture the thrilling vibe and realistic feel of the background, the director paid attention to building the set. An actual-size school in a building of four floors was erected containing everything from a music room, cafeteria, library, and hall.
This is where the usually docile students fight against their infected teachers and kill some of their classmates to survive. The cafeteria fight scene did involve a slight touch of CG, but was mostly acted out by 200 real-life actors. Talk about being realistic!
Fresh Faces Powering The Cast Ensemble
Featuring rising young actors Director Lee worked on a vision of emphasizing the significance and color of each character.
Park Ji Hu, Yoon Chan Young, Cho Yi Hyun, Lomon, and Yoo In Soo are sure attuned to that goal. In the unveiled teasers they look as if experiencing the apocalypse themselves.
Gruesome Vibe That Gravitates
Unsightly scenes abound the series in respect to the webtoon artist’s request. Thus, Director Lee made sure that the adaptation is in a “make it more grotesque” direction.
If you are the type who revels in scenes where bone-cracking, flesh-ripping, blood spattering and all, then you got yourself a gift. There’s much more than that to come to you.
A zombie nightmare that will flip the school upside down is set on All Of Us Are Dead when it premieres on January 28 exclusively on Netflix.
