tvN’ fantasy epic series, Arthdal Chronicles Aramun’s Sword officially enters promotion stage with a table read update.
Arthdal Chronicles: Aramun’s Sword reports the script reading event thereby setting the anchor for its voyage.
In the second season of Arthdal Chronicles, the fateful story of Tagon, Eunseom, Tanya, and Taealha continues in the ancient land of Arth.
The Sword of Aramun picks up from the events of the first season. Lee Joon Gi transforms into the characters of Eunsom and Saya who both have become a force to reckon with in the eastern part of the kingdom of Arth. Shin Se Kyung plays the role of Tanya who rose from a powerless slave of the Wahan tribe to the position of a high priestess. She obtains the unimaginable power of Arthdal.
Correspondingly, Jang Dong Gun as Tagon has taken the throne and the narrative continues on the premise that eight years already passed.
For 8 years, Arthdal succeeded in suppressing the massive rebellion of the tribes slaughtered by Tagon in Season 1, and the Ago tribe finally achieved the grand unification of 30 clans under the command of Eunseom. Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 follows Tagon’s Arthdal Kingdom and Eunseom’s Ago Alliance facing an unavoidable great war with the Astral Continent.
Returning to pen the script for the second season are writers Kim Young-hyun and Park Sang-yeon who both worked in iconic dramas Six Flying Dragons, Tree With Deep Roots and Queen Seondeok. In charge of the production is director Kim Kwang-sik of the movie The Great Battle fame.

At the script reading site of Arthdal Chronicles Aramun’s Sword, all the leading actors gather sans Shin Se Kyung who was unable to attend due to contracting coronavirus.
As soon as the reading started, the scene quickly turned into a hot scene for actors who were immersed in their characters, warming up the atmosphere by demonstrating stable chemistry with each other.
First, Jang Dong Gun added a heavy feeling to the role of Tagon, the first king of Arthdal, who stood at the pinnacle of power after a desperate struggle. The deep eyes added to the profound voice made it possible to gauge the depth of the long narrative of Tagon as a character.
In particular, the reading alone aroused admiration, from the courageous spirit of Tagon, who caused a great war for absolute power, to the agony of the leader.
The performance of Lee Joon Gi who will play two roles in one person – Eunseom and Saya, also attracts attention. Lee broadly expresses the sharp and agile sides of the character Saya, a sworn friend, along with the solid fighting spirit of Eunseom, the integrated leader of the Ago people.
Accordingly, attention is being paid to Lee Joon Gi’s new transformation, which will decorate the characters Eunseom and Saya, who have opposing personalities.
Kim Ok Vin‘s passion that permeates the character of Taeal-ha, a seasoned politician who uses anything for her own goals, also drew attention.
Kim captivates the script reading room with a powerful expression of Taeal-ha’s unstoppable sprint and ambition with a stormy desire, and a strong impact. Her fatal charm, which will bloom again with her Taealha, is expected.
