Venturing into drama production, Fantagio, announced that cameras are soon to roll for the company’s first series.
Moving to a comprehensive content company, Fantagio preps to produce OCN drama, Blind, slated to air in the second half of the year.
Blind traverses the story of people who have become unfair victims because they are ordinary and the perpetrators who only believe the uncomfortable truth.
Featuring a detective, a judge, a social worker, and a jury of nine people, Blind is a mystery thriller that seeks out criminals. It will take an approach of a human drama that highlights societal accusations.
Confirmed in the lead roles are Ok Taecyeon and Ha Seok Jin.
In the drama, Ha Seok Jin takes on the role of Ryu Seong-hoon, a judge on the criminal settlement of the Muyeong District Court. Reticent and rational, Judge Ryu is a perfectionist who does not tolerate mistakes.
Spearheading the series is PD Shin Yong-hwi who previously worked on dramas Faith, Bel Ami, Tunnel, Cross, and Voice 4. Penning the script is writer Kun Ki Kyung of Andante and Sharp.
Fantagio is creating a high-quality content production system through a systematic producer system and production operation. In addition, the company plans to develop competitive works aligning to domestic and foreign content demands.
An official of Fantagio expressed strengthening future growth through the company’s expertise in management, album planning and production.
“Starting with the production of Blind, we plan to launch an active drama production business. We plan to focus on content production and securing continuous investment and planning and development.”
Notably, Fantagio houses talented and popular actors such as Baek Yoon Sik, Ong Seong Wu, Cha Eun Woo and more.
