Playlist’s web series Blue Birthday officially released concept posters and teaser videos.
Directed by Park Dhan Hee, the fantasy romance drama narrates the story of Oh Ha-rin (Kim Ye Rim) who wanted to burn pictures that her first love took but suddenly found herself back 10 years ago.
The series takes an alternating past and present timeline setting.
Ji Seo-jun (Yang Hong Seok) is the first love of Ha-Rin. Seo-jun killed himself on Ha-Rin’s 18th birthday.
Ha-rin planned to confess to her childhood friend but saw him dead in the photography room.
Years passed, Ha-rin now works on an abandoned pet shelter. She wants to forget Seo-jun by burning the pictures he left behind.
There are only eight pictures, and she has only eight chances to return in the present time.
Ye Rim and Hong Seok Blossomed in Blue Birthday’s Teaser Photos
In the photo, we can see the lead actors beautifully harmonized with the floral motif. With Ye Rim holding white and yellow flowers, she looks mesmerizing and youthful.
Moreover, Hong Seok, who wears a green top with some printed flowers on his collars, locks his synergy with Ye Rim.
In the next photo, the couple lies down on green flowers that radiate warmth, fragrance, and beauty that added to their chemistry.
Furthermore, teaser videos were also released that made the audience more excited about how the drama would flow. Ye Rim and Hong Seok exchanged intimate lines that would make the viewers’ hearts flatter.
Ye Rim, that is also known by her stage name “Yeri,” was one of the members of the popular Korean girl group Red Velvet. Aside from being a singer and rapper, she also explored the acting industry by grabbing the lead role in Blue Birthday.
Meanwhile, Hong Seok was also a member of the Korean boy group PENTAGON and also did modeling. Viewers are excited about how both of them lived up to their roles.
Blue Birthday airs its first episode on Naver TV at 7 p.m on July 23. It would also be available on YouTube on August 6.
