MBN’s 10th anniversary special drama, 보쌈 Bossam: Steal The Fate is set in Joseon dynasty under the reign of Prince Gwanghae.
For his new role, Jung Il Woo transforms to a perverted man who steals, gambles, fights and performs bossam. His name is Ba-woo. He mistakenly kidnaps a woman who turns out to be a princess. Kwon Yuri takes the role of Princess Soo-kyung who lost her husband on the day of their wedding.
In Korean Joseon culture, bossam is the practice of abducting a widow. A Joseon woman cannot remarry once she became a widow.
The three-person poster recently unveiled predicts a love triangle between Ba-woo (Jung Il Woo), Princess Soo-kyung, the daughter of Gwanghae-gun (Kwon Yuri), and Dae-yeop (Shin Hyun Soo), the son of a noble family.
Pushed to a desperate measure, Ba-woo commits a huge crime as he tries to ward off Princess Soo-kyung due to a mistake of his life. He must put everything back before he suffers. But he, who has thrived in a life at the bottom, feels a strange sense of sympathy with her who has gone through all kinds of hardships.
How Ba-woo’s feelings will change is the direction of the romantic line featuring the social status in Joseon era.
Princess Soo-kyung is a person who has an unwanted marriage due to a political secret. However, she suddenly became a sad widow. From there, her connection with Ba-woo begins.
Although the path of thorns unfolded in front of her is predictable, she is a strong woman who chooses to overcome the odds rather than being frustrated with reality.
For Daeyeop, Soo-kyung is his first love. Since childhood, they grew up in the city together. His fondness grow inevitably, but she is betrothed to his brother.
His martial arts skills will come handy as he plans to risk his life to find Soo-kyung who disappeared. For him, Ba-woo is a target to be punished.

Bossam: Steal the Fate will be broadcast for the first time on May 1 at 9:40 pm. At the same time as the main broadcast starts, Korea’s leading online video service, Wavve, will release OTT service exclusively.
