The past and present of Lee Jin Wook’s character in Bulgasal: Immortal Souls was revealed in recent teaser photos!
Bulgasal: Immortal Souls tells the poignant and stunning story of a human who has become immortal and pursues a woman in her reincarnations for 600 years. Lee Jin Wook, Kwon Na Ra, Lee Joon, and Gong Seung Yeon decorate the main cast.
In the drama, Lee Jin Wook portrays the role of Dan Hwal, who was a human 600 years ago but has become invincible. Transforming into a new, immortal existence that has been around since ancient times on the Korean Peninsula, he takes on an unconventional acting challenge.

Unveiled by tvN are photos featuring the lead hero which captures his past and present. Wearing thick armor, Dan Hwal evokes the spirit of a valiant warrior who seemingly commands the battlefield. Wearing a navy blue hanbok, there is sadness in his eyes as he looks at someone, inciting curiosity.
After that, he became immune to mortal death. Even after being stabbed by a spear, burned by fire and fell off of a cliff, he felt only pain and continued to live.
For 600 years, he bears the curse of immortality, the only thing left for Dan Hwal who lost everything is to avenge his fate. Thus he pursues the woman who made him a bulgasal. That woman is Min Sang-woon (Kwon Nara), who has the ability to repeatedly reincarnate.
Exuding incomparable charisma, Lee Jin Wook owns his unique character, heightening anticipation for the viewers. The production team acknowledged how the “immortal character” was channeled impressively by the actor.
Bulgasal: Immortal Souls premieres on December 18 at 9 PM on tvN. International fans can watch it on Netflix.
