Marriage plans, daily expenses, and taking down villains — can one man really balance it all? The newly released main trailer and poster for Cashero promise a riot of unexpected heroism where saving the day literally comes with a price tag.
Arriving on December 26, Cashero follows Sang-ung (Lee Jun Ho), a regular office worker buried under real-world problems. He’s trying to build a future with his girlfriend while struggling to afford housing — until a bizarre superpower flips his life upside down. The catch? His strength increases depending on how much cash he’s carrying. With each heroic act draining his wallet, this “salaryman superhero” puts a clever spin on the classic hero narrative.
The poster captures Sang-ung at his most chaotic: beaten up, rumpled, and far from the polished image of a traditional hero. Surrounding him are the equally unconventional members of his circle — his puzzled girlfriend Min-suk (Kim Hye Jun), Byun Ho-in (Kim Byung Chul), who can phase through objects when drunk, and Bang Eun-mi (Kim Hyang Gi), who unlocks telekinesis whenever she indulges in high-calorie treats. Together, they tease the quirky misadventures ahead.
In the main trailer, Sang-ung and Min-suk watch in horror as bills and coins go flying every time he activates his powers. His desperate outburst perfectly sums up the absurdity of being a broke hero in a world that demands bravery. Though Min-suk begs him to stop and focus on their future, Sang-ung’s conscience keeps dragging him into crisis after crisis. He soon encounters Byun Ho-in, Bang Eun-mi of the Korean Superhuman Association, and the notorious “Human League” — Jo Nathan (Lee Chae-min), Jo Anna (Kang Han-na), and Jo Won-do (Kim Eui-sung) — transforming his ordinary routine into full-on mayhem.
As the madness builds, Cashero dives into what heroism really looks like today — when influence, status, and real-life pressure often overshadow actual superpowers. Watching Sang-ung, low on funds but high on heart, go head-to-head with the Human League leaves viewers wondering how he’ll outsmart the ironic curse of his own ability. Relatable, funny, and refreshingly grounded, the series introduces a hero shaped by the everyday struggles most of us know too well.
This holiday season, get ready for a superhero you’ll genuinely root for when Cashero premieres December 26, exclusively on Netflix.
