“Check-in Hanyang” Foretells A Youthful Journey Through Joseon

Check-In Hanyang

Channel A’s upcoming historical drama has unveiled a youthful and vibrant poster that perfectly captures the energy and innocence of Joseon’s “flower youth.”

Check-In Hanayng, which will air on Saturdays and Sundays, centers around the largest guesthouse in Joseon, Yongcheonru, and the lives of the youth employed there as educational servants. It combines historical settings with a romantic, coming-of-age story, exploring the themes of youthful growth, friendship, and love.

The newly released “Youth Poster” showcases the four main characters, played by Bae In Hyuk (Lee Eun), Kim Ji Eun (Hong Deok-soo), Jung Gun Joo (Cheon Jun-hwa), and Park Jaechan (Go Soo-ra). The poster features these characters in Yongcheonru‘s signature training uniforms, lying together on the grass, exuding carefree and innocent energy. Their bright smiles and relaxed postures create an inviting, cheerful atmosphere, hinting at the warmth and camaraderie between the characters. The fresh green grass and sky-blue uniforms complement their youthful spirits, reinforcing the theme of a happy, carefree youth.

At the center of the poster is the text Haona’s Youth Record of the Four,” a phrase that sparks curiosity about the upcoming drama’s plot. It suggests that the four characters, who are united by their shared defiance of societal expectations (symbolized by their collective shout of “Haona” against the existing rules), will face various challenges and experiences at Yongcheonru, the center of their story. These four characters, each with their unique dreams and aspirations, will grow together through the various moments of friendship, love, and self-discovery that unfold at the guesthouse.

The production team highlighted that this poster aimed to reflect the “refreshing charm” of the central characters and their chemistry. The youth and vibrant energy of the lead cast are set to be a significant draw for the drama. The team also teased that the chemistry between the actors and their lively performances would be key to making the show memorable. Fans can look forward to an engaging, heartwarming drama that promises not only historical elements but a deep exploration of youthful dreams, love, and growth.

Check-In Hanyang will premiere on Saturday, December 21, at 7:50 p.m. and is sure to offer a delightful mix of drama, romance, and character development set against the backdrop of Joseon’s largest guesthouse. The series promises to offer a unique perspective on Joseon history, focusing on the lives of young people rather than the traditional royal court dramas.
