The creative team of Check Out The Event praises Bang Min Ah, Kwon Hwa Woon, and Ahn Woo Yeon in the recent press conference.
MBC’s Check Out The Event unfolds a sweet and bitter story starting this August 14. Producers Kim Ji Hoon and Lee Han Joon led the media conference and share their thoughts about the series.
A couple with a bitter past reunites on a breathtaking trip to Jeju Island. Played by Bang Min Ah, Ha Song Yi is a bright and confident botanical garden coordinator.
She then meets her ex-boyfriend, Park Do Kyum (Kwon Hwa Woon), who ended their relationship. Park Do Kyum is a leader and vocalist of an indie band.
Seo Ji Gang, portrayed by Ahn Woo Yeon, adds tension when he starts to have feelings for Ha Song Yi. He is also an essay writer and met Song Yi when he chooses to be their travel guide.

Furthermore, PD Kim Ji Hoon shares insights about the drama. “It’s a pretty and lovely drama like a happy event.” It is also a romance drama about the love and separation of ordinary people.”
He continued, “This is a growth drama about growing pains in the process of parting with love.”
On the lead actor’s acclaimed and top-notched skills
First, Director Kim describes Bang Min Ah, Kwon Hwa Woon, and Ahn Woo Yeon as an actor.
He relayed, “Bang Min Ah is an actor with a respectful point. Thoroughly communicating and agonizing, such things are great.”
“Kwon Hwa Woon is pure, passionate, and flexible. Ahn Woo Yeon is so bright and sensible that I was happy to be with these actors when shooting the film,” he added.

Bang Min Ah’s Drama Comeback
Bang Min Ah returns to the small screen after her last work in 2019. “I remember the day when we filmed all together. The director’s unique bright energy in the field became a big boost personally,” reminiscing her memories.
She continues, “It’s good to see the directors for the first time in a long time, so I’m full of energy today. I would like to thank the actors Kwon Hwa Woon and Ahn Woo Yeon once again.”

Bang Min Ah also talks about their filming experience. She revealed, “It was like a place with a lot of laughs. Few people laughed a lot while filming like this.”
“I asked the staff to remember me as they were together, and they said it was a precious filming location,” she shared.
Kwon Hwa Woon’s Preparations
On the other hand, Kwon Hwa Woon also dishes his experience full of energy. “It was so pleasant and happy. I think it will come out very well because we are all close and have a family-like atmosphere.”
“We were happy and fun together, and we were close to actors Ahn Woo Yeon and Bang Min Ah, so we felt sorry (that we finished filming). It would be nice to play Season 2,” he shared.
The actor also added, “It was so good that the director allowed me to spread everything I prepared on the spot. It was also good because the other staff members were funny and funny.”
Kwon Hwa Woon passionately outlines his character. He said, “I am the leader of an indie band, which is harsh and self-respecting in a certain way. But in front of love, it is pure. He is the kind of man who truly loves Song Yi.”
In addition, the actor details that he watched YouTube videos and listen to music a lot.
“I like to sing and listen. I didn’t feel any pressure, and it was fun. This time’s music comes out as a self-composed song of this drama. I prepared the guitar while taking lessons because of this drama. There will also be scenes of him playing the guitar, so please pay attention to it.”
Ahn Woo Yeon’s Pleasant Filming Memories
Finally, Ahn Woo Yeon feels saddened for leaving the filming site early. He opens up about how the Covid-19 situation hindered a bonding time for the team after finishing the filming.
“Coming here feeling the atmosphere again and seeing the highlight video, I feel bitter. I think that we all want to do more filming together. Maybe it’s because I enjoyed working with directors like my older brothers and actors Bang Min-ah and Kwon Hwa-woon. I feel very sad.”
He also recounts how it was the first time for him to have a role of being in one-sided love, and how lonely it was. His character who is originally a writer traveled to Jeju to get inspiration not knowing that his life is about to change.
