Breaking her small screen hibernation after four years, Choi Ji Woo marks her appearance in a thriller series.
Kakao Entertainment announced the reliable seasoned actress will lead 소름 Goosebumps. It is an 8-episode omnibus drama that tells the story of the horrors that are often encountered in everyday life.
Expectations are high for her upcoming project. She last worked on tvN’s The Most Beautiful Goodbye. Her cameo appearance in Crash Landing On You was met with gusto.
The reality-based suspense collection Goosebumps is the first new media content to be presented by director Jeong Beom-sik. He has made new wonders in K-Horror stories through his work in Epitaph and Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum.
It is expected that another new and powerful work will be born through unique excellent creativity, planning, and sensible orchestration directing. It is currently being filmed and will be released for the first time on Kakao TV in the second half of this year.
In Goosebumps, Choi Ji Woo takes on the role of Hyeon-jeong, a beautiful woman who hides a secret. Her story is presented as “even a calm daily life can be a horror”. It promises tension that makes viewers sweat and creep out.
Notably, this is Choi’s first digital content project. Hence, the challenge piques interest to new sides of her vast talent depth to be unleashed.
Goosebumps targets broadcast in the second half of the year.
