Ji Sung, Jeon Mi Do, Kwon Yul, and Kim Kyung Nam have unexpectedly unveiled a ‘group poster’ raising anticipation from fans.
SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama Connection, premiering at 10 PM on May 24th, follows an ace narcotics detective who is forcibly addicted to drugs and uses his friend’s death to unravel a 20-year-old deteriorated friendship. This ‘addiction-tracking suspense’ drama promises to be intense.
The series is written by writer Lee Hyun of Diary of a Prosecutor fame, and director Kim Moon-kyo, who was recognized for his delicate and detailed directing skills in Trolley and Lovers of the Red Sky, is drawing attention by working together.
“Connection” Puts Forward Character Posters of Ji Sung and Jeon Mi Do
The group poster highlights the intricate character dynamics, featuring a red line centered around Jang Jae-kyung (Ji Sung) with a gun, and the phrase ‘I don’t even know who I’m connected to,’ hinting at his quest for truth.
Jeon Mi Do’s character, reporter Oh Yun-jin, is intriguingly posed with a hand on Jang’s shoulder, suggesting an ambiguous alliance.
Prosecutor Park Tae-jin (Kwon Yul) and vice-chairman Won Jong-soo (Kim Kyung Nam) are also shown, indicating complex relationships involving various figures like police officers, reporters, conglomerates, prosecutors, and drug dealers.
The poster’s eerie cold tones and ominous red lines convey danger, amplifying curiosity about whether Jang Jae-kyung can overcome his drug addiction to uncover the truth.
The production team commented, “The group poster builds intense tension and curiosity,” and urged viewers to anticipate the dramatic impact of ‘Connection.’
