Daily Dose of Sunshine is based on the authentic experiences of a psychiatric ward nurse. Portraying Jung Da-eun, a nurse who enters a mental health department is Park Bo Young. She helps patients genuinely despite being complicated and clumsy in many aspects of her life.
Da-eun, a third-year internal medicine nurse, goes to work at the psychiatric ward for the first time with excitement and nervousness. Since it is not common for her to leave the ward where she has been working for three years and transfer to another department, everyone is curious as to why Da-eun came to the psychiatric ward.
Accordingly, Netflix unveils the main poster and trailer which acquaints viewers to the lead cast of the series.
Da-eun, a nurse at the Department of Psychiatry at Myungshin University Hospital, Go-yoon (played by Yeon Woo Jin), a colorectal and anal surgery fellow, Yoo Chan (Jang Dong Yoon), Da-eun’s best friend, and Hyo-shin (Lee Jung Eun), the head nurse of the psychiatry department, who deliver vitamin-like energy.
Curiosity is drawn about the various stories they will encounter, whether they will be able to keep smiling brightly like Da-eun in a psychiatric ward where fresh trees and dazzling sunlight pour in, and where the sunlight comes in first because there are no curtains.
The trailer released together begins with a fairytale-like scene showing Da-eun’s house floating in the sky on her first day of work from the internal medicine department to the psychiatric ward. Da-eun, who is in charge of a patient at a psychiatric ward for the first time, is confident that she will do well.
She listens to the stories of patients and encounters the slightly special world they feel. She makes mistakes, gets frustrated, and becomes anxious in unexpected situations, growing day by day.
A Drama Filled With Doses of Encouraging Messages
While various people, including medical staff, patients, and guardians, face a dynamic daily life in the psychiatric ward, Da-eun is captured in tears at the end of the trailer, drawing attention. Viewers’ expectations are growing as to whether all of us, who live between day and night, and Da-eun, a third-year nurse, will be able to greet a good morning in the psychiatric ward.
