We can see another solid teamwork at Doldam Hospital’s new and old faces as Dr. Romantic 3 gears up for its launch!
Dr. Romantic narrates the story of an amazing triple board-certified surgeon, Boo Yong Joo, who shunned his life to a remote provincial hospital when he became a victim of politics in the big city hospital he worked before.
The stories of the characters featured in the series display a microcosm of the real world that anyone is familiar with. Tinged with harrowing moments, the series shifts to a vibrantly colored memory at a swift turn.
Notably, Season 1 in 2016 and season 2 in 2020 scored impressive viewership ratings reaching as far as 27%.

Previously, the teaser poster of Dr. Romantic 3 draws attention with a picture of the doctor’s office at Doldam Hospital, where warm sunlight seeps into the room.
For the 3rd season, most of the cast members from the last season are joining. Lee Shin Young (Awaken, Crash Landing On You) and Lee Hong Nae (Inspector Koo, The Uncanny Counter) are the new characters to anticipate in Dr. Romantic 3.
At the script reading session, they join other main cast members including Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Sung Kyung, Jin Kyung, Im Won Hee, Byun Woo Min, Kim Joo Hun, Yoon Na Mu, Shin Dong Wook, So Joo Yeon, Ko Sang Ho, Yoon Bora and Jung Ji An.
Kim Min Jae, who confirmed his appearance, was unfortunately unable to participate owing to a prior engagement already committed.
Correspondingly, the creative team conveys their thoughts about the series.
“It seems that Dr. Romantic is becoming a life drama for many people. It seems that it is time for romance again,” Director Yoo In Sik said.
Writer Kang Eun-kyung remarks on her worry about her next challenge, “I feel more nervous than Seasons 1 and 2. With everyone gathered like this, I think I am actually at Doldam Hospital.”
The actors, who were reunited after three years, greeted each other and expressed their affection for the Dr. Romantic series.

Han Suk Kyu overwhelmed the scene by exuding the charisma of Doldam’s eternal mentor and geeky genius doctor Teacher Kim. Ahn Hyo Seop revealed the strong presence of GS specialist Seo Woo-jin while Lee Sung Kyung overcame her surgery anxiety and is now a resolute CS specialist Cha Eun-jae.
The production team vouches for another scintillating season.
