Kim Sejeong and Lee Jong Won Team Up For New ENA Romantic Comedy

Promising a heartwarming and exciting love story, the series also stars Baek Sung Chul and Shin Do Hyun.

The upcoming ENA drama, Drunken Romance 취하는 로맨스 will follow the unlikely pairing of a passionate liquor saleswoman and a sensitive brewery owner. Their relationship, as different as the tastes and aromas of beer, unfolds as they gradually influence each other, blending humor and empathy. The series promises a heartwarming and humorous story about two opposites who find love.

In the drama, Kim Sejeong portrays Chae Yong-ju, a legendary salesperson in the liquor industry, likened to a sharp lager. With her strong physical and mental resilience as a former special forces soldier, she undertakes a mission to protect her sales office for six years. Her life changes when she meets a man who understands her better than she understands herself.

Lee Jong Won plays Yoon Min-joo, a brewery’s delicate ‘ale ‘-like CEO and brewmaster. As an empathetic person, he habitually blocks out emotions to avoid overload. His serene life, focused on brewing in a quiet village, is disrupted by the persistent Chae Yong-ju. This role marks Lee Jong-won’s first venture into romantic comedy, following his rise to fame in Knight Flower. He is excited to showcase new facets of his acting, hoping viewers will look forward to the chemistry he will create with Kim Se-jeong.

Shin Do Hyun stars as Bang A-reum, the ambitious head of ‘Power J’s’ planning team and Chae Yong-ju’s rival. Balancing beauty and competence, A-reum has a strong desire for recognition. Shin Do-hyun expressed gratitude for working with a talented team and anticipates conveying the enjoyable atmosphere on set to the audience.

Baek Sung Chul plays Oh Chan-hwi, a free-spirited toast truck driver and Chae Yong-ju’s best friend. Known for his roles in ‘Tell Me You Love Me’, ‘Somehow Country Diary’, and ‘Gugyeongi’, Baek Sung-chul brings a lively and witty energy to the drama. He shared his excitement about working with director Park Sun-ho and his efforts to portray the charming character of Oh Chan-hwi.

Director Park Seon-ho, known for his work on Business Proposal and Suspicious Partner, is at the helm, while rookie writer Lee Jung-shin penned the script. The supporting cast, including Shin Do-hyun and Baek Sung-chul, adds to the anticipation for the drama.

Drunken Romance will premiere in November on ENA and will also be available on Genie TV and Genie TV Mobile, promising a delightful blend of romance, humor, and heartfelt moments.
