Tastefully Yours has officially kicked off its journey with a vibrant and heartfelt first script reading—and fans are already buzzing over leads Kang Ha Neul and Go Min Si showing up in perfectly matched horn-rimmed glasses, sparking whispers of on-screen and off-screen chemistry.
Set to premiere on May 12 at 10 PM, Tastefully Yours is a unique coming-of-age romance that blends food, ambition, and heartfelt connection. The story follows Han Beom-woo (Kang Ha Neul), the heir to a major food conglomerate, who becomes a “recipe hunter” as he scours the country to merge and acquire small local restaurants, all to prove himself worthy of inheriting the family business. Along the way, he crosses paths with Mo Yeon-joo (Go Min Si), a fiercely passionate chef running a secretive one-table restaurant in the culinary capital of Jeonju.
Produced by Shortcake and developed by KT Studio Genie, the series is helmed by director Park Dan-hee, with storytelling guided by creator Han Jun-hee and writer Jung Soo-yoon. Together, they promise a romance that appeals to all five senses—especially taste.
The script reading, which brought together the drama’s core cast and creative team, was a warm and energized affair. Kang Ha-neul perfectly embodied the confident yet calculating Beom-woo, capturing both his arrogant charm and comedic quirks. His quick switch between cool-headed ambition and humorous moments added layers to the character and brought sparks to the room.
Go Min Si delivered a compelling first glimpse of Mo Yeon-joo, infusing the role with fiery spirit and endearing warmth.
