“Gangnam B-Side” To Feature A Gripping Exploration of Corruption and Darkness

Jo Woo Jin and Ji Chang Wook star in the highly anticipated eight-part crime drama Gangnam B-Side, premiering exclusively on Disney+ on November 6.

The series dives deep into the underworld of vice and corruption lurking beneath the surface of Gangnam, Seoul’s affluent district.

The story follows detective Kang Dong-woo, portrayed by Jo Woo Jin, a man who once gained notoriety for exposing police corruption, which led to him being shunned by his colleagues and estranged from his family. Living in exile in a rural town, he’s suddenly drawn back to the city when his daughter’s friend goes missing. Desperate to save her, Dongwoo uncovers a dark world of drugs, exploitation, and crime.

This gripping series also features Ji Chang Wook as enforcer Yoon Gil-ho, Ha Yoon Kyung as prosecutor Min Seo-jin, and Kim Hyung Seo as Kim Jae-hee, a young woman on the run. Written by Joo Wonkyu and directed by Park Noori, the show promises an intense journey through Gangnam’s gritty underbelly.

With new episodes releasing weekly until November 27, Gangnam B-Side joins Disney+’s impressive lineup of Korean content, continuing the platform’s success following hits like Moving and The Worst of Evil. More Korean original series, including Unmasked and Light Shop, are set to follow later this year, with additional releases planned for 2025.

Catch the first two episodes of Gangnam B-Side on Disney+ starting November 6.
