Hwang Min Hyun joins Kim So Hyun in the upcoming mystery romance drama Useless Lies.
On November 28, Pledis Entertainment announced that the idol-turned-actor Hwang Min Hyun will be starring as the male lead in the new drama Useless Lies.
Set to air in 2023, Useless Lies traverses the story of a woman who has the special ability to hear lies. She gets involved with a murder suspect whom no one believes as innocent.
While Kim So Hyun has been earlier confirmed as the lead actress, Hwang Min Hyun will be completing the main cast lineup.
He will be portraying the role of the mysterious Kim Do Ha, the most popular and successful music composer and producer in Korea. Being framed as a murder suspect in the past, he hides his existence in the world.
However, after meeting and falling in love with Mok Sol Hee (Kim So Hyun) who seems to see through everything, he now wants to come out to the world.
Before appearing in his brand-new drama, the actor will be returning to his original role in the second season of the fantasy romance drama Alchemy of Souls.
Meanwhile, Useless Lies is slated to air in 2023.
