The premiere actress appears shabby in character photos of her newest role as Inspector Koo.
Unveiling her unprecedented transformation, Lee Young Ae powers the heroine of Inspector Koo, billed to be a chase-comedy story.
For her newest role, Lee Young Ae investigates a murder case presented as a perfect crime. She probes on the crime completely disguised as an accident while investigating an insurance fraud case.
Her character is sketched as a person with an extraordinary brain who feels joy only in solving the case rather than realizing justice. She rushes to the truth of the case in any way or means.
The series will be helmed by Lee Jung Heum whose popular works include Falsify and Nobody Knows. Penning the script is rookie writer Sung Choi with Group 8 backing up the production.
An Unexpected Transformation For Lee Young Ae
Officially declaring the promotional phase for the series, the first teaser video was launched. Lee garnered a lot of attention for her untidy appearance defying everyone’s expectations.
Throwing off her elegant and beautiful image, she declares she’s not crazy, and further amplifies the curiosity about her latest character.
Then, a string of still cuts was unveiled by the production team
In the photos, Lee Young Ae sports a disheveled Koo Kyung look like she has been hit by a bomb. Wearing an oversized shirt over colorful pajamas with a black trenchcoat, she walks aimlessly without paying attention to her comical fashion outfit.
The production team said, “Lee Young Ae showed a synchronized appearance with Koo Kyung from the first filming. Returning to the small screen after a long time, the enthusiasm for her new character transformation is great. She raised admiration while filming by showing her passion for studying the script tenaciously.”
Inspector Koo is set to premiere in October on JTBC.
