Far from her well-known elegant image, Lee Young Ae will be making a drastic transformation for her new drama.
Portraying the role of Koo Kyung, the beautiful actress Lee Young Ae plays a brilliant insurance investigator who used to be a police officer. Engaged in games and alcohol, she lives in solitary after the death of her husband.
Despite leaving the police force, Koo Kyung Yi still enjoys solving cold cases. While investigating insurance fraud, she ends up discovering a mysterious murder case disguised as an accident. It involves a female college student who is a serial killer.
Returning to the small screen after four years, the glamorous actress suits up for a new role that is different than her usual sophisticated and refined image.
In preparation for the drama’s premiere, the production team unveiled the first teaser poster.
Looking rugged and messy, Lee Young Ae wears an old jacket, green leather gloves, and plastic as a scarf. She exudes a mysterious yet confident vibe. Her meaningful smile and perplexing gaze are also important points to examine.
Amplifying the curiosity of audiences about the character, the teaser poster reads, “Why don’t you pretend you know me?”
Based on the eccentric and comical presentation of the teaser poster, viewers can expect that the series will be a unique one. It also makes viewers anticipate what the investigation process will be like, which will go beyond their imagination.
Produced by Group 8, Keyeast, and JTBC Studio, the drama will be penned by rookie scriptwriter Sung Choi. It will be helmed by Director Lee Jung Heum, whose famous works include Nobody Knows and Falsify.
Inspector Koo will premiere in October on JTBC.
