Slated in the second half of 2021, 더 로드: 1의 비극 The Road: The Tragedy of 1 is about the secrets and ugly desires of elite people living in Royal The Hill. It is a place where the top 1% of South Korea resides.
With a terrible incident that happened to the place they claim to be their own graceful sanctuary, everyone gets entangled in the mystery.
Main Cast
Ji Jin Hee plays the role of trusted news anchor Baek Soo-hyun. He is a celebrated journalist who receives wide praises and acclaim. But behind the scenes, he is a cold-blooded figure who mobilizes all means and methods to get what he wants.
Yoon Se Ah is Seo Eun-soo, the daughter of the chairman of a steelmaking chaebol group, who holds the political world of Korea. She is the wife of Baek Soo-hyun who is also a popular writer. She is more desperate than anyone else to protect her precious family as a smart wife and a model mother. Although she does not lose her dignity anywhere, she begins to be greatly shaken by the tragic events that take place before her eyes.
Kim Hye Eun challenges the role of Cha Seo-young, an announcer belonging to a news agency. Driven and honest, she is full of passion to make everything as flashy as how she looks. Even though she has everything that others envy, including job, academic background, specs, beauty, and perfect family, her intense energy and greed seem limitless.
The Road: The Tragedy of 1 is scheduled to be broadcast for the first time in the second half of 2021.
