On the morning of July 6, an online production presentation was held for OCN’s newest drama, Train.
Top-billed by Yoon Shi Yoon and Kyung Soo Jin, the series slates its premiere on July 11. The event was also attended by Director Ryu Sung Jin.
Train is a mystery thriller that tells the story of a man who lost his loved one to a serial killer. Because of that, he crosses another dimension to unravel the mystery of his loved one’s death. The series will run 12 episodes via OCN.
A relatively rookie tandem will work for Train with Studio Dragon and doFRAME backing up the project. Penning the script is Park Ga Yun while Director Ryu Sung Jin calls the shot on the series.
The cast and crew relay information about what to expect in the series. Director Ryu said, “The parallel world has long been a subject of interest. There is also a work recently. It is a subject that is covered in various contents.”
The director further expounds that Train piques interest as it aims to find out the events happening through two connected worlds and the clues to unearth the mysteries are scattered in the two worlds. The key point leans on how the fate of the two worlds’ characters change, as they solve the case in both worlds.”
Yoon Shi Yoon, who has played lead roles in dramas Your Honor and Psychopath Diary, might be considered veteran for his yet another dual role, but the actor explained how the driving emotion in the narrative of Train is different and complex.
He expressed gratitude for his new work. Yoon said, “I am not an actor who can choose a work, but I am grateful that the opportunity comes to me.” Regarding the reason for choosing his new project, he added, “I tend to read the script without looking at the synopsis. It’s a very unique script.”
Meanwhile, Kyung Soo Jin gave praises to Yoon Shi Yoon as she was truly impressed working with him. She admires his passion to commit in his role.
