Making his debut as an actor, Kang Daniel expressed his thoughts at the recent Disney+ APAC content showcase.
The event was held simultaneously in Japan, Korea, Greater China, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore.
Beaming while recounting the experience, he was also amazed after watching the preview video of 너와 나의 경찰수업 Rookies (WT).
Sharing his thoughts on his new career endeavor, he genuinely affirms being invested in his new project.
“When I received the script, it seems that many of my concerns about acting disappeared. I was drawn to the youth investigation drama and read the script as if possessed. It was so comfortable to be with my peers. I took the challenge because I like the work. I think I felt a different kind of fun on stage.”
Relaying his filming experience, Kang Daniel mentioned the numerous action scenes required a lot of stamina. “I try to be energetic without letting go of tension,” he added. He is also grateful to his co-star, actress Chae Soo Bin for being considerate. Reckoning how much the actress might have had a hard time, he gave the credit to her for completing the project in good synergy.
Disney+ is an online platform that provides content for movies and TV shows from key Disney brands such as Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star. streaming service. Since its launch in November 2019, it has secured 116 million subscribers and is growing. It is also the second global OTT service to enter Korea after Netflix in 2016.
Disney+ is set to launch in Korea on November 12. Rookies is aiming to broadcast in 2022.
