With the announcement of the confirmed ensemble cast, Sad Tropics gears up to begin filming on December 10!
Led by Director and Screenwriter Park Hoon Jung, Sad Tropics follows a young boy who dreams of becoming a boxer but finds himself suddenly the target of suspicious people and being pursued.
Furthermore, as a new work by director Park Hoon Jung, who pioneered the Korean noir genre, this film has already gained attention from the film industry.
Similarly, director Park will create a film unlike any of his previous works. Capturing the hearts of all movie fans globally, his famous works, which are in the suspense and action genres, include The Witch: Part 1 The Subversion, and The New World.
Meanwhile, lauded actors Kim Seon Ho, Kim Kang Woo, Go Ah Ra, and Kang Tae Joo, a rookie actor who exceeded the highest audition competition rate of 1980 to 1, were cast as the main characters of the movie.
Establishing a new face in the film industry, Director Park garners high expectations for boldly placing actors in significant roles and also garners high expectations for his battle history and perspective once again.
Sad Tropics begins filming on December 10.
