MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama is all set to launch. But before that, here’s a quick peek at its talented cast.
A group poster evoking harmony and character posters introducing details about the main leads are the newest promotional fanfare shared by Kokdu: Season of Deity.
Kokdu: Season of Deity (WT) chronicles the story of Kkokdu (Kim Jung Hyun), the “god of death” who comes down to the earth every 99 years to punish humans. He meets Han Gye Jeol (Im Soo Hyang) a visiting doctor with mysterious abilities.
Previously, teaser videos and photos had been unveiled, heightening viewers’ anticipation of its premiere.
First, Kokdu, the god of the underworld exudes a nothing-to-fear attitude. In contrast, Han Gye-jeol wears a cheerful expression. Armed with a doctor’s bag she goes for a house visit with energy that will not be easily broken even when trials arise.
It is interesting to note how their connection at present time would progress given how they share a heartbreaking past in their past life together.
Then, Tae Jeong-won (Kim Dasom) who has beauty and brains gives an overwhelming aura. She is set to transform from a perfect girl crush to an arrogant lover.
Next, Han Cheol (Ahn Woo Yeon) is a detective who fights with passion and instinct and never let go of a criminal he has set his eyes on.
Lastly, Oksin, the god of greed, and Gaksin, the god of rumors, stand proudly back-to-back. As the saying goes, discord in the world begins with money and ends with rumors, the two always quarrel, but they are perfect partners who cannot be separated. They are expected to add fun to the story by causing various incidents and accidents while clinging Kokdu who will spend a special 99 days on earth.
Kokdu: Season of Deity premieres on January 27 at 9.50 PM on MBC.
