Meeting on a not-so-good first encounter, Moonshine previews Lee Hyeri and Byeon Woo Seok’s adorable stills.
Moonshine is a romantic story about a woman who makes alcoholic beverages and an upright inspector tasked with tracking down moonshiners during a period of strict alcohol prohibition.
While Kang Ro-seo (Lee Hyeri) was born into a noble family, she is portrayed in the drama as a breadwinner. She pretends not to notice other people’s gazes and gossip in order to earn a living following the death of her parents at a young age.
Entering the realm of moonshine, Ro-seo simultaneously becomes an illegal liquor merchant during the prohibition era.
On the other hand, Lee Pyo (Byeon Woo Seok), who is also the Crown Prince, escapes the palace whenever he has free time and wanders the world outside like a free spirit.
Surprisingly, the place where Lee Pyo is hiding his identity as the prince is where alcohol is. He is a regular customer at the Mill Kitchen, popularly known as the “Flower Doryong.”
A Sneak Peek of Two Distinct Characters
In the released stills, Ro-seo and Lee Pyo are seating in front of each other. Located in a dark wheat kitchen, and a table separates them.
Exuding his great charms, Lee Pyo dresses in vibrant silk clothing with accessories, unlike the shabby attire of Ro-seo. As a result, it piques interest in why they have gathered together to enjoy a glass of wine.
Above all, Lee Pyo’s magnificent appearance and clothing make Ro-seo taken aback as they first meet at the mill, as well as his actions of drinking a glass of wine in front of her eyes.
Staring at her strange eyes flashing toward their first encounter, Lee Pyo is curious about the story of her future and what will happen to people like her.
Moreover, the production team introduces the two distinct characters and urges viewers to anticipate their relationship in the first episode of Moonshine.
“This is a scene where Ro-seo and Lee Pyo, who have lived completely different lives and have different identities, are intertwined like fate. You can look forward to the kind of relationship that their accidental meeting will develop.”
Meanwhile, Moonshine premieres on KBS 2TV on Monday, December 20th.
