Lee Min Jung and Kim Ji Seok Star as a Married Couple in New jTBC Drama

The lead stars are set to portray a married couple of seven years in the upcoming drama Okay, Let’s Get Divorce (LT).

Directed by Joo Sung-woo and written by Hwang Ji-eon, Okay, Let’s Get Divorce tells the story of a couple who, exhausted from their marriage, attempt to end it. The series revolves around a realistic portrayal of their divorce journey, focusing on a husband and wife who run a wedding dress shop together.

In the series, Lee Min Jung takes on the role of Baek Mi-young, co-owner of G&White, while Kim Ji Seok plays Ji Won-ho, her husband and business partner. Mi-young, played by Lee, had once dreamed of becoming a female tailor, inspired by her father’s suit shop. After a tragedy took her parents away, she devoted herself to work, eventually marrying Won-ho, a wedding shop designer who stood by her side. Together, they established G&White and worked to build the business, but seven years into their marriage, Mi-young announced her desire to divorce.

For Lee Min Jung, this drama marks her return to television after five years, following her success in Once Again. Known for her solid acting and memorable characters in dramas like Fate and Fury, Come Back Mister, and Cunning Single Lady, fans are eager to see how Lee transforms into this new character.

Kim Ji Seok plays Won-ho, who is Mi-young’s husband and business partner. He was drawn to Mi-young’s quiet strength and, after just six months of dating, proposed. The couple seemed stable, but after four years of marriage, they faced a pivotal crisis that brought tension into their relationship. Known for his standout performances in shows like Military Prosecutor Doberman, Kiss Sixth Sense, Monthly Magazine Home, and When the Camellia Blooms, Kim brings his characteristic charm to the role of Won-ho.

Anticipation is high for the chemistry between Lee Min-jung and Kim Ji Seok as they bring a bickering but affectionate couple to life. Viewers are curious to see how the actors, playing a married couple for the first time, will develop this unique dynamic on screen.

A spokesperson from the production team commented, “We’re thrilled to have the talented Lee Min-jung and Kim Ji Seok as our leads in the roles of a couple facing marital struggles. Their intense synergy is sure to captivate audiences and bring humor and drama to the screen. We look forward to viewers joining us on this journey.”

Okay, Let’s Get Divorce is set to premiere in the first half of 2025 and will be available on a global OTT platform.
